Exercise: At the end of each chapter are exercises related to that chapter. You can post your exercises for critique in the Critique Gallery of this app, and compare your versions to the model drawings posted there
Review Questions: At the end of each part are a series of questions about that part. You can find the answers at the Answers page of this app... but try to answer them on your own first!
 

In Part II of this text a few important basic design ideas are discussed.  These include flow and fit on the body, positive and negative relationships and the many types of contrast, not only of dark and light but also of warm and cool, focus and out-of-focus, smooth and rough and flow versus antiflow.
