Make a crosshatch stencil for the drawing pictured here.  You can download the full-sized image at www.hyperspacestudios.com/reinventing/exercises, then compare your stencil to the model one posted there.  Use lines where needed, but define as much of the design as possible with crosshatch shading, especially with the sky and atmospheric effects.  Keep it simple; use crosshatch  shading only in parts of the stencil that would need to be committed to the skin early in the tattooing process.Fig. 80a
